Our Sitter Vetting Process
Every sitter must advance through four rigorous vetting gates. We accept only those who demonstrate verifiable skill, high character, and true dedication to childcare.
Background Checked
Comprehensive multi-jurisdictional screening
We conduct background screening as part of our sitter onboarding process. We want families to have greater confidence knowing that the people entering their homes have been screened before they can provide care through Chippercare.
Verification Criteria:
- National & county criminal court record searches
- Sex offender registry verification across all 50 states
- Government-issued identity & biometric validation
- Automated annual re-screening for continuous compliance
Drug Tested
Uncompromising standards for family peace of mind
Safety starts with responsible caregivers. Chippercare requires drug testing as part of our sitter vetting process.
Verification Criteria:
- Standardized multi-panel toxicology screening
- Conducted through certified clinical diagnostic partners
- Mandatory completion prior to initial profile activation
- Strict zero-tolerance policy across our entire network
Childcare Seminar Attended
Pedagogy, situational awareness & emergency readiness
Great childcare is about more than simply watching a child. Our sitters participate in childcare education designed to help them understand expectations around supervision, communication, professionalism, and creating positive experiences for children.
Verification Criteria:
- Age-specific developmental supervision protocols
- Emergency response, CPR principles & pediatric safety
- Parent communication, boundaries & ethics training

Personality Profile Activated
Understanding the human behind the credential
Every sitter is more than a résumé. We use personality profiling as part of our process to help us better understand how sitters communicate, interact, and approach caregiving — helping us build a community of people who are a strong fit for the Chippercare experience.
